Our founder Henry Alsberg created The Federal Writers' Project in 1935. The FWP is a federally funded arts initiative committed to the employment of writers and the creation of written work. The Federal Writers' Project is apart of the Works Progress Administration.

This program is created to issue employment for writers, teachers, geologists and white collar workers so they could provide for their family during these hard times. |
